Meet The Artist
About Me
Mylie is a watercolour artist from Tamborine Mountain, Queensland. She paints watercolour animals, florals, landscapes and pets. But she loves to paint birds. As a Christian, she views nature as God’s handiwork and is often inspired by everything He has made and tries to replicate it in her own way.
Mylie is 16 and homeschooled while being self taught through youtube, she has always loved art and painting for as long as she can remember. But since the end of 2021 she has focused on her skills and talent.
Family started commissioning her for artworks in their own homes and then it turned into friends and more! She has dreamed of creating art to sell and here is where you can!
Art Comps
In March 2024 the “Tamborine Mountain Show” was displaying the pavilion competition. Here you could enter a heap of different creative topics. Of course Mylie entered her paintings. She entered a wolf in with the ‘animals’ and a kookaburra pair with the ‘bird’ which won second and first place.
Later in the year in May 2024, she entered the Darcy Doyles Art award. Mylie created ‘Feeding Galahs’ and made it into the Junior finalists. She didn’t win or put her artwork for sale but to make into the finalist was a big achievement.
Later in July 2025, she entered the Darcy Doyles Art Awards in the junior section again. Gumnut Forage. Mylie made it into the finalist and had her artwork ‘Gumnut Forage’ displayed in Mudgeeraba. It had sold within the first 24 hours of opening.
There are ‘Gumnut Forage’ prints available on store.
