I am thrilled to present the “Australian Icon” an original painting hand painted by me the artist Mylie Weir. I love kookaburras, their personality, character, their colours and just how cool they are. I wanted to capture their cleverness in this painting, the way they hold themselves amongst the trees, and how they smile through their beaks. I painted the Australian flowering gum along the branch of this iconic bird to show the true Australian outback and life in this artwork.
