“Lorikeet Forage” ORIGINAL Artwork

“Lorikeet Forage,” an original painting from my Companions watercolour collection. I LOVED creating this painting and bringing it to life. I was originally going to paint in the classic pink flowering gum but I felt the white matched the lorikeets the best. Still capturing the native gum in the background but letting the vibrant rainbow lorikeets show and take over the artwork. I captured their clever personalities by having them forage upside down together.

This artwork is perfect for Australian bird lovers who want to bring these vibrant rainbow lorikeets into and apart of your home. Painted in rich layers of greens, creating depth, undertones and details encapsulating the white flowing gum and two lorikeets feeding upside down. This painting shows the feathered details, and personalities these birds bring to the trees, making your home warm, inviting and always leaving a conversation starter in the air.

Painted by me the artist Mylie Weir, with professional Holbein paints on 100% cotton 300gsm watercolour paper. Created in my home studio on Tamborine Mountain. Limited original artwork, 2 of 9 in the companion collection. Once this piece finds its home, it will not be recreated.
